Hady Makhmalbaf, Ph.D., P.E., is a professional licensed mechanical engineer (Licensed in CO, MI, TN, WY, and CA) based in Michigan. Hady has over a decade of experience in the industry and 9 years in academia in various fields of mechanical engineering. For the last 2 years, he has worked as a freelancer on tens of projects in several states as the MP and structural lead engineer. Before that, between 2015 and 2020 he worked for two architectural and engineering firms in Kalamazoo, Michigan as a licensed mechanical engineer. He also has been teaching HVAC/plumbing courses at Western Michigan University as an adjunct faculty since the fall of 2017. Before that, he worked as an engineer in the oil and gas industry in the middle east for years. It has been over two years since he started his own business, leading a small team and working as a freelancer. He has also been an active member of ASME, ASHRAE, ASPE, and APS for several years.
